Fairbanks Police Department officers responded to the parking lot of the Midnite Mine on the corner of Wendell Avenue and Dunkel Street around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday to a report of shots fired.

Midnite Mines Inc. announced that it had uncovered new uranium deposits on its claims on the Spokane Indian Reservation.
