An attempt by two Middle Eastern men to buy a fake ambulance two weeks ago prompted warnings that terrorists may try to use bogus emergency vehicles as weapons, authorities said Thursday.

The Barrett-Jackson Auction Co. says it will hold a briefing at 1:30 ET today related to the 1963 Pontiac ambulance it is scheduled to sell at its Scottsdale, Ariz., auction this weekend.
