The first expansion for Defiance has been given a date. The "Castithan Charge Pack" will hit PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on August 20 for $9.99, or as part of the season pass subscription.

The Castithan Charge Pack, Defiance’s first major piece of downloadable content, is set for an Aug. 20 release, the massively multiplayer online shooter’s developer, Trion Worlds, announced today.

The Castithan Charge Pack will give players a host of new additions to the game, however, even those that don't purchase it will get benefits from it once it goes live.
