David Cameron made great play of the fact that he belongs to a Scottish clan whose motto is “Let us unite”, but failed to mention that his ancestors had a long history of fighting the English.

Cameron grew up with her parents nearby and spent much of her childhood running in and out of the farm. In 2022, a set of standing stones was uncovered when an area of long-overgrown land was cleared.

Donald Angus Cameron of Lochiel, who was the 27th clan chief, died at the age of 77 on Friday at Achnacarry Castle, near Fort William in Lochaber. He had been suffering from Multiple Sclerosis.
