Two vehicles attended the blaze in Scragged Oak Road just after 1pm and spent an hour tackling flames. No other emergency services were called to the incident and no injuries were recorded.

Kent Police were called to the scene, between Scragged Oak Lane and Pilgrims Way on the Maidstone bound carriageway, at about 8.09am. The road was fully open by 9.50am. The scene on the A249.
