Good try from Paws, the Detroit Tigers mascot, to distract Paul Skenes on Thursday. But it didn't help -- the superstar ace for the Pittsburgh Pirates threw six innings of two-run ball, and even though he walked five hitters, he struck out nine.

During the second game of Thursday’s doubleheader between the Pirates and Tigers, Paws, who has been Detroit’s official mascot since 1995, held up a sign behind home plate that read “Sup Livvy Dunne” while Pittsburgh ace Paul Skenes was on the mound.

While former LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne spent the past five years as a Tiger, she let it be known that she doesn't have the same allegiances to tigers at the MLB level.
