Air India said on Wednesday it will cut international operations on its widebody aircraft by 15% for the next few weeks, citing ongoing safety inspections and operational disruptions following last week's deadly crash of one of its Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

Following the tragic Ahmedabad crash that claimed 241 lives, Air India has temporarily reduced its international widebody services by 15 per cent from 20 June to mid-July. The airline cites enhanced safety checks and operational disruptions as key reasons and assures affected passengers of free rescheduling or full refunds.

Air India said safety checks following last week’s deadly crash and growing conflict in the Middle East were why it was cutting flights.
