The Rodin Museum sits on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, across the street from Barnes Foundation. It's less than a mile south (about a 15-minute walk) of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

There are a further twelve enlarged versions, one of which was placed over Rodin's grave at his own request. This sculpture represents the poet Dante pondering the fate of mankind.
