AUSTIN (KXAN) — Troughs play a crucial role in shaping storms and delivering all types of precipitation. A trough is an elongated area of low pressure that can stretch for hundreds of miles.
However, I find them useful for bringing early interest to the various troughs that we have dotted around the garden. In fact, overhauling the troughs is a spring task that I really enjoy.
