While Badlands National Park in South Dakota may not be on many people's national park bucket list, but those familiar with the park consider it a hidden gem for breathtaking sunrise and sunset views.

The Tallgrass Preserve here in the Flint Hills is one of the last tracts left, consisting of 11,000 acres mostly owned by the Nature Conservancy and managed with the National Park Service.
