During its final hours on the lunar surface, the Blue Ghost spacecraft captured stunning photos of a lunar sunset.

The system already brought strong winds and several inches of rain to parts of the West Coast and triggered power outages.

"Satellite imagery at sunset shows a view of the low pressure system offshore that will bring strong winds, rain, and heavier mountain snow into Tuesday," read the post's accompanying text.
