I veered from Brian’s recipe for rice pudding because it called for unrefined caster sugar. Caster sugar is superfine granulated sugar, but I’m not too sure about finding it unrefined.

Growing up, my grandma used to make my great grandmother's rice pudding recipe frequently. It was a classic rice pudding, a "throw all the ingredients in and bung it in the oven" type of situation.
