据其介绍，Meta Quest 头显的 Horizon OS 基于 Android 开放源码项目（AOSP）打造，其中的 ext4 文件系统在系统更新时触发了罕见的“竞争条件（race condition）”错误，也就是多个进程同时读写同一资源，导致系统底层损坏，而头显又限制了系统回滚功能， 从而导致相应设备受到不可逆的损坏 。
