Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has signed a new contract to stay with Celtic until 2026. The Denmark international, 38, joined the club as Joe Hart's replacement before the start of the current season and agreed a one-year deal.

Kasper Schmeichel has signed a contract extension at Celtic that will keep him at the club for another season. The Denmark international goalkeeper joined the club in the summer following the departure of Joe Hart, who retired at the end of the 23/24 campaign, and has played every game of the campaign so far.

Schmeichel’s arrival at Paradise in the summer transfer window as the replacement for Joe Hart has proved to be a perfect fit for both the player and the club. It’s no surprise then that the news of the Danish keeper’s contract extension is music to the ears of everyone connected with the club.
