Kano Masanobu (1434-1530) founded the Chinese-art influenced painting school that bears his family name and flourished in different forms through to the Meiji Era (1868-1912).

Eijo Kano was a Japanese Asian Antiquities artist who was born in the Circa 1731. Eijo Kano's work has been offered at auction multiple times. The artist died in the Circa 1787.
