Extraterrestrial emoji! A 'smiley face' will form in the night sky this evening ... Saturn, and the thin crescent moon will bear a striking resemblance to a smiling face turned on its side.

The moon, having been full on April 13, is now waning - growing smaller - towards the new moon on April 27 which will leave a very thin crescent visible tonight.
