A magnitude 4.6 earthquake was detected around 5 a.m. a few miles south of Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. Yuma, which is just about 60 miles east of there, was identified as having tremors.

The government led by Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana will join the Statewide Earthquake Drill, scheduled for Friday, April 4, at 10:00 AM, which is open to all residents of Baja California.
