Auburn Basketball’s Johni Broome is the first consensus first-team All-American in program history. Broome was named a National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) first team All-American Wednesday morning, sweeping all four major selectors.

In On3's ranking of the top 10 players competing in the NCAA Tournament South Regional, Broome takes the top spot. On3's James Fletcher III says that Broome's development into a strong two-way player will aid Auburn greatly in its tournament run.
