The Western media should be ringing "alarm bells" about the nuclear risks involved in the Iran conflict, Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, as Israel strikes Iranian nuclear facilities.

As the situation between the two countries continues to deteriorate, the United States offered an urgent warning to its citizens in Israel and Iran. The message suggested the U.S. Department of state is planning for contingencies to assist with private U.S. citizens' departure from Israel and the West Bank.

Russia warned against efforts to force a regime change in Iran and said it would react “very negatively” if Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei were killed, raising concerns of a broader escalation in the Israel-Iran conflict as European leaders came together with Iran on Friday for a diplomatic meeting.
