We took a cab from the port to the beach. Not sure if beach is still open or not due to hotel being closed. I would check with travel agent or local goverment offices.
Heard that the old xanxdu is being refurbished and plans are to open it again.

We had heard a similar rumour last year about it being sold and going to reopen. We also heard that it is unstable and needs to be taken down. Too bad something isn't done with the hotel - they could really use the jobs and it is such a beautiful spot.
