If the visit is important to you then it would be wise to book in advance. August is peak season and Venice is incredibly crowded. I visited the Guggenheim off-season, in April, and even though it was possible to buy tickets as a walk-up and get instant entry, the venue was still very crowded.

Do you suggest buying the tickets now or at the door? Are tickets valid for the whole day? And are we allowed to exit the museum after the noon presentation and re-enter for the 4 pm?
