Pity you can't rate the art instalation seperately as that is what my 2 stars relates too. It is awful. White plastic strings with blue neon's. Blocks of unified stone....not from the beach and no in…susan n的完整评论

I saw that there were places on Lindisfarne where you can watch sea lions and/or seals. Is this accurate? Is this something you need to be on a boat to see or are they visible as you walk along? And is there a specific place on the island where you would recommend going to see them? Thanks!

There is a colony of around 1,000 grey seals that can be seen from the rooftop vantage point at Lindisfarne Castle. We visited in April 2025 and there was a helpful guide there with a telescope trained on the sandy beach just over from the castle. But you will need binoculars or a telescope to see them if not visiting the castle. When the tide’s coming in, though, check the waters in the bay beside the castle and you will very likely see a few bobbing around quite close to shore! The water is really clear so you get quite a good view!
Planning a photography trip to this location but not sure whether all of the scaffolding has been removed. I'm not too concerned about the ongoing internal renovations but external scaffolding will spoil my plans for some of the shots I have planned. Can anyone confirm that all of the external scaffolding has now been removed?
答:
A small bit of scaffolding remains as there were renovation delays due to nesting owls but it is towards the back of the castle so I imagine lots of shots could be done without it.
