We are planning on visiting Keukenhof from Amsterdam on the bus next spring. Just wondering whether it is possible to walk to any tulip fields nearby to see the vast expanses of tulips before or after visiting the Keukenhof gardens.

Yes, you can access the fields from the road but the bus drop off is in the park and it's probably a mile to get back to the road and then to walk to the fields, it's going to be a hike. I doubt you will be able to see much, since the fields are above the road way. We didn't see much from our seats on the bus as we approached the park. I was disappointed that the view wasn't better.
