You may get mini bus (tampo traveller) on seat basis also through tour operator. It’s nice to visit Haa Valley via Chelela pass which is highest motorable pass in Bhutan (3990 mtr) but unlike Rohtang Pass of India, you may not find snow here. Please be advised that there is not much to see in Haa Valley - it’s just the drive if you enjoy scenic beauty.

You can travel directly from Haa to confluence or Chuzom. This is the junction from Haa and Paro and leads to Thimphu on the left and Phuentsholing from the right. The route from Haa to Confluence is considerably longer than Haa to chelela pass and onward to Chuzom. This route takes you to the outskirts of Paro town

Initially we got Via for Thimphu & Paro.. Haa vally is comes in Paro City so no need to take other Permit... But for Punakha you have to take separate Permit ...
Hi! We will be in Haa Valley tomorrow (driving from Paro). 1) How long was drive? Did you visit any sites en route? 2) Was it super cold? 3) Is food available there? 4) On our itinerary for Haa Valley are: - Kila Gompa; - Lhakhang Karpo Nagpo; and - Juneydrak Hermitage. 3) What do you suggest? I am not a trekker, but would love to see the valley and maybe do some short, relatively easy hikes, 1-2 hours, 3, through beautiful areas. My guide is not very keen on Haa. But it sounds so beautiful! Thank you so very much! Helen
