We are looking to do a rafting trip in the middle of June. I have a 13 and 18 year old daughter and am curious what trip people would recommend.. upper or lower? I want it to be fun and exciting but not something that’s going to scare the heck out of my 13 yr old. Thanks

I went in June and it happened to be the coldest day of our 35 day trip - air temp in the high 30's. Water temp was 44, so it was really cold. Needless to say, everyone on our trip had wetsuits and spray jackets, booties and gloves, all provided by the outfitter. Underneath, I wore a swimsuit and long sleeve "performance" fishing shirt (one of the tight stretchy kinds). I also put on my fleece jacket. Surprisingly, everything stayed dry under the wetsuit and spray jacket. However, I was still cold. The outfitter told us that during later months, people go with just their bathing suits and no wetsuits.

I am 62 I have had knee and hip replacement. I took the lower river that was full of exciting rapids. Consult the guides before making a decision. This was not my first rafting trip but it was my first with my new joints. My guide Conner was excellent kept us all in the boat and it was one of the more exhilarating things I’ve done. They are very professional and knowledgeable in all aspects of rafting ask the pros !
