Hangar 42, Blackpool Airport offers the Public a unique experience to visit an authentic WW2 RAF Aircraft Hangar as it looked and operated during WW2. Formerly RAF Squires Gate, Blackpool Airport has a wealth of Wartime History with interesting Volunteers who will walk and talk you through life in the RAF During WW2. There is Free Car Parking, Entrance Fee is £5.00 for Adults and £3.00 for Children over 8 years of age and under 8's are Free. We are open every day in August 2020 from 10am until 4pm then only open on the First Sunday of every month from March through to November inclusive. Tickets should be purchased on-line via www.ticketsource.co.uk/Lytham-St-Annes-Spitfire to meet Track and Trace rules. Visitors should be aware that this is an "Audio" Supported tour, so visitors will require a personal Mobile Smart telephone or tablet, with personale headsets for each member of their group, if they want to access the Audio Tour of Hangar 42 and its History.

Follow coast road North to Squires Gate traffic lights, adjacent to tram servicing shed. Turn right up over the bridge onto Squires gate lane. At bottom of bridge at next traffic lights turn right into airport, bear right and follow sign on billboard for hangar area 1, spitfire visitor centre. check when open next before travelling. You can now even book a spitfire simulation flight now!

Yes, group bookings are available, but you will have to formally apply so that the visit can be staffed and accommodated. There is even a spitfire simulation experience operational now!
